Successful participation in the Agriculture, Nutrition and Health Conference in Tanzania

Three FETE project members recently represented the FETE project at the Agriculture, Nutrition and Health (ANH) 2025 Conference, held in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, from 23 to 26 June 2025.

We’re excited to share that three project members from the University of Nottingham Malaysia—two PhD candidates, Koh Su Yuan and Chong Xin Xuan, and one postdoctoral researcher, Trylee Nyasha Matongera—recently represented the FETE project at the Agriculture, Nutrition and Health (ANH) 2025 Conference, held in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, from 23 to 26 June 2025.

All three researchers participated in poster presentations, showcasing their ongoing work on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Public Participatory GIS (PPGIS) to explore and better understand food environments. Their research highlights the potential of spatial methods to foster shared understanding and co-develop solutions that support healthier food environments and improved nutrition outcomes.

The ANH Conference served as a valuable platform for interdisciplinary exchange, networking, and global dialogue on food, nutrition, and health. The three project members appreciated the opportunity to contribute to this international conference and to share insights from their work in Malaysia.
