As part of the doctoral training programme, the FETE PhD students participate in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus School (WEF) at Future Africa, University of Pretoria in South Africa (13.-20.08.2024). The WEF nexus school focuses on improving the ability to conceptualise the WEF Nexus linkages and potential impact on resource management and regional policies. Another objective is to strengthen skills and knowledge, tools and methodologies for assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation of the WEF Nexus. Doctoral students will be mentored and have the opportunity to network with practitioners, postgraduates, early career and senior researchers to build and consolidate a WEF network in the Southern African region.
